2006 – It all started with a new baby and a great mother’s group

​First official baby classes started in Richmond, Melbourne with a terrific parenting group. BLMF Founder Mel began music play activities within her own parent group and babies. Focus was on milestone development of babies and quality music exposure.

2007 – Operatic Tunes are the Foundation for First Album

Mel begins production and recording of her music album for babies and toddlers, Music For My First Milestones. The focus is on operatic, classical and musical theatre tunes with reworked lyrics for baby milestone development.

2008 – Music for My First Milestones Album Launch 

​Launch of professionally recorded and self-produced album, Music for My First Milestones. Recorded at Funky Oven Studios and produced by Brett Fowler.

2009 – The First International Licence

​Jammin’ Senzation Music Academy Penang, Malaysia accredited and licensed to run Commando Crawlers course.

2010 – First Interactive Concerts at MRC

​Jammin’ Senzation Music Academy Penang, Malaysia accredited and licensed to run Tummy Timers and Sittin Pretties courses.

First Baby Love Music Fun Interactive Concert, Little Opera Arias produced for Music Play Festival, Melbourne Recital Centre.

2013 – Singapore Licences Baby Courses

Klassique Musik Music Academy in Singapore accredited to run Tummy Timers, Sittin Pretties and Commando Crawlers courses.

2014 – First International Concerts – Sinagpora and Malaysia

My Favorite Things, Interactive Concert, presented in Malaysia and Singapore.

2016 – Full Program goes to China

International Licence Agreement signed with GymAngel, Early Childhood Development Centre, China.  Agreement will see the full Baby Love Music Fun program of 7 courses delivered in over 100 centres across China exclusively with GymAngel.

June-July – 3 week training visit to China – Beijing, JingZhou and Chengdu.

December 2016 – First Interactive Music Concerts delivered in China. Christmas with BLMF goes to China in a big way. 2 large scale interactive concerts delivered to over 3,000 people.

2017 – Concerts and First Australian Licence

​2017 was Huge! 5 large scale concerts across China starring Mel and the BLMF program in China’s first children’s musical exploration. The Legend of Magic Musical visited 5 cities and over 10,000 families in Beijing, Chengdu, Harbin, Shijiazhuang and Taiyuan. The musical was also live streamed and filmed for CCTV 10.

BLMF also sold the first Australian licence of the Walkers and Walk and Talkers programs to ex-BLMF teacher Michelle. Michelle began running Nourished Little Souls (her music school) in July 2017 in Barwon Heads. Congrats Michelle.

2020 – A big year for BLMF

​Second Australian License: BLMF sold a second Australian licence of the Walkers and Walk and Talkers programs to current BLMF Teacher, Aurora. After teaching classes at BLMF Richmond for 1.5 years, Aurora bought the licence for Mulgrave, Victoria and opened Aurora Music Class in February, 2020.

After 14 years in operation we are now ONLINE in addition to providing quality physical classes, concerts and musical parties and events (when restrictions allow).
